Tekken 2 DescriptionA 3-D one-on-one fighting game. Choose from 23 fighters and try to become "The King of Iron Fist 2".Know anything more about this game? Cheats, Tricks and BugsIf you can get a "Great" (win with only 50 percent your life bar left) on the last round of the third stage, you can fight Roger or Alex in the fourth round.ConversionThis game can be converted into other Namco's System 11 games like Tekken and Soul Edge.Game IntroductionTwo years after winning "The King of Iron Fist Tournament" Kazuya Mishima decides to hold a second tournament in an attempt to finish off his father, Heihachi Mishima. Players choose from 23 different characters and attempt to win the tournament. After beating seven other fighters you face your own character specific sub-boss in the eighth stage, then go on to fight Kazuya and the devil that is possesing him. All of the fighters have a reason for entering the second contest. Some, like Paul and King, are entering again after failing to win the first tounament. Others, like Michelle and Jun, want to stop Kazuya's evil.Game PlayA basic 3-D fighting game. Players use standard moves such as throws and special kicks to deplete their opponent's life bar. Experienced players can use techniques such as juggle combos.MiscellaneousOnly ten characters are available when a machine is turned on for the first time. After a certain period of time more characters will be unlocked until all 23 are playable.A version B was also released as a Special Edition with some added features. VAPS Arcade CensusGAMES OWNED, WANTED, or FOR SALE BY MEMBERS OF THE VIDEO ARCADE PRESERVATION SOCIETYVery Common - There are 82 known instances of Tekken 2 owned by one of our 900 members. Of these, 6 of them are original dedicated machines, 7 of them are conversions in which game circuit boards (and possibly cabinet graphics) have been placed in (and on) another game cabinet, and 69 of them are only circuit boards which a collector could put into a generic case if desired. Wanted - We currently do not know of any VAPS members that have gotten around to adding this game to their wish list. The wish-list system is fairly new (not all VAPS members have filled one out) and there are probably a number of collectors who might purchase this game if offered one at the right price. There is one VAPS member looking for a Tekken 2 circuit board set. For Sale - There is one VAPS member with a Tekken 2 machine for sale. There are 1 VAPS members with extra Tekken 2 circuit boards for sale. VAPS members are totally independent of VAPS and the International Arcade Museum, and we are unable to recommend, endorce, or guarantee any person or company selling games or game parts. Rarity is NOT necessarily an indication of value. Some common games show up as very rare here because collectors don't want them (they are common because arcade operators might be sitting on tons of them in warehouses), while some fairly scarce games are grabbed by collectors every time they show up. Additionally, some games made in the last 5 years are still making money for operators and are thus not yet affordable to the typical collector. For a clue to value, compare how many people have this game vs. how many people want this game and then click on the eBay links to help determine an accurate price range. TriviaIn some versions, Baek is one of the ten default characters instead of Jun.Some of the music that is played during the sub-boss stages is from the original Tekken. eBay ListingsClick here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for the Tekken 2 Videogame machine and items related to it.Click here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for machines and parts made by Namco.
